Quarto Graal formed in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais in the early 1990s. The original lineup included Flávio Henrique on vocals, Guilherme Garcia on guitar, Fábio Laguna on keyboards, and Fábio Ribeiro on bass.
Their 1995 album 'Latitude 40° Sul' featured 'Tiradentes,' a song about the Brazilian revolutionary Joaquim José da Silva Xavier. The track became their most recognized work.
In 2003, they released the album 'Novus Mundus.' The band's music often touched on Brazilian history and social themes.
