Photosphere

It came unto us in dark beauty as the moon,

Passed through the Sun's path

Planet alignment solar eclipse, that so many seek

it left behind the Diamond ring of Eastern splendor

That's now forever more lost in the cycle, chasing the symmetry

...How could so many, be so blind, to believe in one creator?

On this day equinox

Gather the pagan tribes

To celebrate the meeting of the moon and sun

Seems few do understand

What it means to witness this

Minutes to totality, visions of the photosphere

Magnetic limbs and solar flares

Erupting from the face of it

Now clearly visible to these eyes on earth

Now we can see the sun's tongues

Like flames of solar gases liking out into the oceans of space

So cold without the sun, this is not a portent of evil

I feed the planets, the water and air

Without me there'll be no life

Getting warmer every thousand years

Getting warmer until you die

Corona now visible

Burning petal in the sky

Into the endless vacuum of space I fall
