QuatroQuartos formed in 2008 with Felipe Cordeiro on guitar, Fábio Sá on bass, João Pimentel on keyboards, and Igor Prado on drums. They started playing a mix of jazz, rock, and Brazilian rhythms that some critics initially questioned. The band kept at it, and by 2014 they had a breakthrough with the single 'Outro Planeta,' which did well on Brazilian charts.
Their first album was self-titled, and they've since released others like 'Horizonte Vertical' and 'Entre Tempos.' Their songs range from the atmospheric 'Outro Planeta' to more straightforward tracks like 'Bar' and 'Hoje.' They've mentioned influences from Pat Metheny to Brazilian jazz, but their sound has its own shape.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
