Queluz de Minas formed in 1997 in their namesake Brazilian town, with Rafael Diniz on lead vocals and guitar, Fernando Rosa on keyboards, Bruno Rosa on bass, Rafael Franco on violin, and Tiago Santana on drums. They started playing local bars and festivals, building a following before catching Sony Music's attention in 2002.
Their 2003 debut album "Deixa a Vida Te Levar" included the song "Esse Meu Coração," which became a breakthrough hit in Brazil. They followed with albums like "Incondicional" in 2005 and "É Só o Amor" in 2013, with other tracks including "Espelho" and "Alvorecer."
Their music mixed Brazilian rhythms with pop and rock elements, often focusing on themes of love and heartbreak. While some critics found their style hard to categorize, they maintained a consistent approach across their releases.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
