Quimio formed in Almada, Portugal in 1997, with Rui Costa on vocals and guitar. Their debut album 'Submerso' came out in 1999. The band's sound has elements of rock and grunge, with lyrics that lean toward the introspective.
Their 2001 album 'Por Onde Andam As Saudades' included the song 'Aquilo Que Ficou No Passado,' which became one of their better-known tracks. They also recorded 'O Que Sobrou do Amor.' Later albums like 'Pontos de Vista' and 'Terra do Nunca' appeared in the 2000s and early 2010s.
The group has included bassist Hugo Fernandes and drummer Nuno Silva alongside Costa. They put out an acoustic album in 2003 and continued releasing music through the 2010s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
