Quinzinho formed in São Paulo in the early 1990s, with founding members Quinzinho on vocals and guitar and Djavan on bass. Their debut album 'Lugares Imaginários' came out in 1996 and included the song 'Lugares de Arlindo,' which became their most recognizable track. They followed it with albums like 'O Outro Lado' in 1998 and 'Nadadeiras' in 2002.
Their music often dealt with themes of love and loss, sometimes drawing criticism for being too melancholic. Beyond 'Lugares de Arlindo,' their catalog includes songs like 'A Tradição de Momo,' 'Amor, Sublime Amor,' and 'Mãe Baiana.' The band's lineup eventually included Paulo Lourenço on drums and Eric Mercuri on keyboards alongside the founders.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
