Quique Villanueva was born in Écija, Spain in 1979. He started playing guitar as a teenager and performed at local festivals before releasing his debut album 'Cambio de Piel' in 2001.
His 2003 song 'Quiero Gritar Que Te Quiero' became his most recognizable work. It's a passionate ballad that connected with Spanish-speaking listeners.
Villanueva has released several albums since, including 'A Mi Manera' in 2005 and 'A Contracorriente' in 2017. He's known for working with a consistent group of musicians including bassist Juan Antonio Jiménez and drummer José Antonio Rodríguez.
