Archive material and source history
Ra Ra formed in Brighton around 2007, starting with vocalist William Zebede and drummer Jamie Mildren. They were later joined by bassist Matt Jones and keyboardist Arun Chaturvedi. The band self-released their debut EP in 2010 after struggling to find a record deal.
Their single '99.9% Sure' came out in 2012 and became a radio hit. They followed it with albums like 'Body Talk' in 2012, 'The Last Dance' in 2014, and 'Modern Romance' in 2016. Other songs from that period include 'Bring Me To Life' and 'For The Money' featuring T.I.
In 2015, there were some plagiarism accusations about a song called 'I Lost My Mind,' which the band denied. Their later work started pulling in bits of funk and soul alongside their synth-pop foundation.
