Archive material and source history
Radical Brasil formed in 1995 in São Paulo, with Renato Russo as vocalist and songwriter. Their debut album, also called 'Radical Brasil,' found an audience quickly. The band's songs like 'No Dia Em Que Eu Te Conheci' and 'O Maior Amor Do Mundo' became popular for their melodic approach to pop and rock with Brazilian touches.
They released seven studio albums over about two decades, including titles like 'Dois Lados,' 'Tente Outra Vez,' and 'Minha Infância.' Other members included André X on bass, Guilherme Arantes on drums, Paulo Miklos on guitar and vocals, and Herbert Vianna on guitar and vocals.
Renato Russo died in 1996, and the band disbanded after that. Their songs have remained in circulation, and the former members pursued solo work.
