Radiosonix formed in Brazil during the mid-1980s, a period of political and economic tension. The band's core members were vocalist Serguei, guitarist Fabio Sampaio, bassist Beto Novaes, and drummer Ronaldo Santos. Their debut album came out in 1985, featuring songs like 'Perdendo a Noção' and 'Beethoven.'
Their live shows were known for being provocative, with Serguei sometimes performing in the nude or simulating drug use. This drew criticism from conservative circles but built them an underground following. In 1986, their set at the Riocentro music festival was cut short after they played a song called 'O Homem Traça.'
They released several albums, including 'A Revolta dos Dândis' in 1987 and 'Incendiário' in 1989. Other tracks from their catalog include '4:30,' 'Ainda É Tempo,' and 'Confusos.'
The band collaborated with writer Charles Bukowski, who wrote lyrics for 'O Homem Traça.' Radiosonix broke up in the early 1990s.
