Ragazzi formed in Santiago, Chile in 1986, with Silvio Rodríguez on vocals. They had a modest start, playing small venues before their 1988 single "Amiga Veneno" caught on.
Their debut album "Amiga Veneno" came out in 1989, followed by "La Sexta" in 1991 and a compilation in 1993. The band included guitarist Gastón Guzmán, bassist Juan Pablo Leiva, and drummer Marcelo Salazar. They played at the Viña del Mar festival during their peak, but disbanded in 1994.
Songs like "Que Va a Ser de Mí," "Veneno," and "Cómo Olvidarte" show their style, melodic but with an edge that drew both fans and critics.
