A Brazilian band that kept playing through lawsuits, accidents, and lineup changes.
For their early hit, listen to 'Solteiro Sem Futuro'. 'Tapão Na Raba' and 'Sentimentos de Vaqueiro' show their popular side.
They're one of those groups that just kept going no matter what got thrown at them. 'Solteiro Sem Futuro' became a major forró hit in 2006, even though it landed them in a lawsuit over the melody. Their sound has picked up sertanejo and axé touches over the years, and they've worked with names like Wesley Safadão.
They started in 2001 in Campina Grande as Raí e Seus Companheiros, with Rai Lima on vocals. After the original accordionist and zabumba player left in 2003, Rai brought in new members like Netinho Play. Rai fractured his leg in a 2007 car accident but performed on crutches and in a wheelchair.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
