Fall

Leaves fall

Like distant memories

The sway of trees reminds me of days when my heart was full and green

On my path

I came across a final ending

The voice of the world instructed me that this would be my own last mending

I let out a cry

To pierce the hearts

Of all my betrayers

But my voice could not start

And no matter how much

Strength i gave

No venom could escape me

As i approached my grave

The curtain falls

On all my memories

The path behind me disappears and now there are only all my dreams

And finally

I realize

That all i had been searching on this path for was right before my eyes

And yet i feel no grief

For i am but another leaf

Briefly given the gift of life

And cast away from the tree of strife

And no fear can grip me now

And to my fate i choose to run

For my destiny is among the stars

I've glimpsed the beauty of my setting sun

My body falls

Upon warm earth

For the final rest of my weary soul now fills my heart with mirth

And having journeyed

Through this course

I close my eyes finally and return to the source
