Randy Coleman fronted a band called the Renegades in the 1960s. They had a guitarist named Buck Page, a bassist named Steve Caldwell, and a drummer named Ollie Mitchell. Their most well-known song is "Goodbye Renee," which came out in 1967.
Their music drew from rock, folk, and country. They released a few albums, including one called "The Renegades" in 1968 and another titled "Memories of a Lost Love" in 1969. Other songs from that period include "Hey God" and "Riptides & Hurricanes."
The band broke up in the early 1970s. Some of their songs, particularly "Goodbye Renee," have been covered by other artists since then.
