As it was in the days of Jehosaphat

Jehosaphat was praying

The Ammonites and the Moabites

Are coming for our lives"

And the prophet said "march out in faith

And you won't have to fight"

But Pharaoh's mighty army drowned

In the days of Hezekiah

The Assyrians waged war

And Judah was outnumbered

Sennacherib sent down the word

Judah had to bow

"Surrender Hezekiah

Your God can't save you now"

But Sennacherib, he mocked the Lord

So an angel came by night

And a hundred eighty-five thousand Assyrians

Lay dead by dawn's first light
