Rapper DL, born Daniel Leite, started putting out music in São Paulo. His first mixtape 'O Início' came out in 2012. A couple years later, the track 'Até O Fim Desta Guerra' with Taurí and Evolução A.R.C got some attention.
He released a few albums after that, including 'ContraCorrente' in 2016, 'Sobrevivente' in 2018, and 'Resiliência' in 2020. He's part of a collective called Conexão South with those same collaborators, Taurí and Evolução A.R.C.
Some of his lyrics touch on social issues and inequality. He's been involved in protests, including one in 2018 where he was arrested. He's worked with other Brazilian artists like Djonga, Tássia Reis, and Baco Exu do Blues.
