Raulzito e Os Panteras formed in the late 1960s with Raul Seixas as frontman, Paulo Coelho on guitar, Miriam Batucada on bass, and Edson Souza on drums. Their early performances had a raw energy that connected with audiences, and Seixas's lyrics developed a following.
In 1974, Seixas was arrested on drug charges that were later disputed. The group released several albums before their run ended, leaving behind songs that still get played on Brazilian radio.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
