Archive material and source history
RaussTuna - Tuna Mista de Bragança formed in 1997, started by students at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança. They work with traditional instruments from Portugal's Trás-os-Montes region, like the viola braguesa and pandeiro, mixing them into modern arrangements.
They've put out albums including "RaussTuna" in 2003, "À Portuguesa" in 2008, and "Nas Asas do Trás-os-Montes" in 2013. Some of their songs are "Azevinho," "Lua Feiticeira," and "Coração de Estudante," which features Rui Veloso and Zeca Medeiros.
The group includes João Paulo Fernandes as artistic director and Fábico Costa on guitar and vocals. They're still based in Bragança, playing the music from that part of Portugal.
