Razakel came out of the underground metal scene in the early 2000s. The band's name comes from an ancient Hebrew word for 'destroyer' or 'executioner.' Their early lineup included vocalist Razakel, guitarist Dero, and drummer Kane.
Their debut album 'Requiem for the Cursed' came out in 2006. The 2010 album 'Dying In My Hands' featured a guest appearance by rapper Sicktanick on the title track, which caused some debate among metal listeners about mixing hip-hop elements into the sound. Another track from their catalog is 'Watch Out.'
