Razorback came out of Manila's underground metal scene in the mid-1980s. Their debut album 'Razorback' arrived in 1986, followed by records like 'Beggar's Moon' in 1989 and 'Dinner for Wolves' in 1992. The band's lineup included Mikee Claudio on vocals, Tirso Ripoll on lead guitar, Louie Talan on rhythm guitar, Brian Velasco on bass, and Marc Abaya on drums.
Their song '(Lucky Lovin') Rabid Tongue' appeared on the 1992 album 'Dinner for Wolves' and became one of their best-known tracks. Other songs in their catalog include 'Better Than You,' '16 Days,' and 'Aluminum Highway #9.'
They kept recording through the 1990s with albums like 'Obsessed by Cruelty' in 1994 and 'Lost in Translation' in 1997. Later compilations like 'A Decade of Razorback: The Best of Razorback' and 'Razorback: Anthology' collected material from those years.
