Raztilho formed in São Paulo in the early 1980s, with José "Zé" Antonio on vocals and guitar, Sérgio "Serjão" Lopes on bass, Luiz "Lulu" Santos on drums, and Roberto "Betinho" Bortoletto on keyboards. Their song "O Acaso" came out in 1986 and became their best-known track, a ballad that stuck with listeners. They released albums like "Sem Destino" in 1988, "Nada a Perder" in 1991, and "Um Novo Amanhecer" in 1994.
Their sound mixed rock with folk and electronic touches, which some traditionalists didn't care for. The lyrics sometimes touched on subjects that drew criticism from more conservative corners. Other songs from their catalog include "Não quero mais," "Lugar pra Ti," "Acreditar," and "Castelos de areia."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
