RC Black formed as a trio in the early 2000s with Rafael Castro on vocals and guitar, Cadu Mendes on bass, and Celé Moreira on drums. They came from Realengo, a neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, and started playing local bars and clubs.
Their debut album '24 Horas' came out in 2006, and the title track became their breakout song. They followed it with albums like 'Nosso Mundo à Beira-Mar' in 2008 and 'Aquilo Que Não Te Contei' in 2010. Another track, 'Território Inimigo,' also appears among their most recognized work.
By the mid-2010s, they had put out several more records, including 'No Mesmo Lugar' in 2012 and 'Só Quero Ver Você Feliz' in 2015.
