Tell the stars to shine upon our heads

To keep us save and sound

Days upon the Earth we fall behind.

Tell the wind to blow somewhere else

To make mean fires grow somewhere else

To let us both get cold somewhere else

To keep us safe from harm.

And oh the wind has blown sweet through my bones

And oh this winter's killed to many times

So let me be this time

Let me find peace of mind

Tell our feet to walk by each other's side for a while
