Rebuilt in Time formed in Los Angeles around 2005, with Ethan Marks on vocals and guitar, Ryan Carter on bass, and Jake Smith on drums. They put out their first album, Anachronism, in 2009. Their second album, The Hollowed Men, came out in 2012 and included the song Redrum, which got some attention for its lyrics about mental states and drew both fans and critics.
The band's third album was The Fragile Hour in 2016. They've kept the same three members, working together on songs that tend to look inward. Redrum remains their most recognized track.
