Redenção Tribal formed in 2010, a musical collective built by indigenous youth from the Munduruku, Kayapó, and Xikrin tribes. Their work centers on preserving cultural heritage and amplifying the voices of their communities, with music that addresses injustice and celebrates indigenous identity.
Their debut album, 'Redenção,' arrived in 2015 and brought them wider attention. Songs like 'Trauma de Infância' and 'Inocência Roubada' reflect the group's focus on storytelling and cultural advocacy through music.
The collective includes members like Mateus Munduruku, Nayara Kayapó, Kátia Xikrin, and Zé Munduruku, who handle vocals, composition, guitar, and percussion. Their second album, 'Atabaque das Guerreiras,' followed in 2019.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
