Reformatório started in São Paulo around 2009, with Binho on vocals, Victor Scalco on guitar, André "Boca" Correa on bass, and Felipe "Galo" Monteiro on drums. Their first album, "Filhos da Loucura," came out in 2012 and drew attention for its raw, uncompromising sound.
In 2014, the song "Cobaia" pushed them further into the spotlight. Other songs like "Conhecidos" and "Corvo" show a similar intensity.
The band faced a tough loss when drummer Felipe "Galo" Monteiro passed away in 2016. Their lyrics and stage presence have often been confrontational, which has kept them a bit on the outside of the mainstream metal scene.
