Reformed Sound formed in 1999 within Brazilian Pentecostal church circles. The group's founder, Rogério Stéfano, came to the project after personal struggles, wanting to make music about his faith. They started playing in local churches and small venues, building an audience without much in the way of resources.
Their 2004 album 'A Graça Resgatou Um Miserável Como Eu' gave them a wider reach. The title track and songs like 'Incrível Graça É' and 'Miserável Homem Que Sou!' became central to their catalog, dealing plainly with themes of grace and personal failing. Some in more conservative church circles questioned their contemporary approach to worship music.
They went on to release other albums including 'Clamo por Ti' in 2006 and 'O Som da Chuva' in 2008. The music stayed focused on worship, with songs like 'És Fiel, És a Verdade' and 'Homem de Dores' reflecting that consistent direction.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
