Refresh formed in Brazil in 1993, with Fabiano Almeida on vocals. Their debut single "Só Mais Uma Vez" came out that year, and the song became popular enough that they named their 1994 debut album after it. They put out a few more records through the late 1990s and early 2000s, like "Deixa Rolar" in 1997 and "Sem Limites" in 2000.
The band's lineup shifted over time. Guitarist Julio Mossil, bassist Luis Fernando "Ferrão" Silveira, and drummer Marcos Botelho were among the members who played with them. They worked with other Brazilian artists too, including Ivete Sangalo and Alexandre Pires. Refresh stopped playing together in 2007.
