Ministério Reina Em Mim formed in São Paulo in 2002, led by vocalists Isaías Saad and Elyssa Saad. They started as a small group of musicians focused on gospel music. Their song "Somente Te Adorar" came out that same year and became widely known in Brazilian churches.
Their approach to worship music drew some criticism from religious organizations who felt it was too modern. The band kept making music anyway, releasing albums like "Fonte de Vida" in 2004 and "Deus do Impossível" in 2007. Another song, "Tu És Meu Deus," also found an audience.
Later albums included "Milagre" in 2010, "Para Sempre" in 2013, and "Som do Céu" in 2016. The group's lineup included Leonardo Bruno on keyboards, Léo Gonçalves on drums, Josias Lopes on guitar, and Vanessa Lopes on backing vocals alongside the Saads.
