Daß niemals ein Rettungsboot bei uns landet,
Um uns zurückzuhol'n.
Wir wußten ja beide, das Glück ist zerbrechlich,
Eng aneinandergepresst
Heilten wir uns, als wär' das Glück bestechlich
Und wir hielten es damit fest.
Und hielt es nicht allen banalen Stürmen,
Den trägen Gewohnheiten stand?
Den Sorgen, die sich zu Gebirgen auftürmen
Zwischen Windeln und Anbauwand.
Haben wir nicht die gemächlichen Wogen
Aufgewühlt und aufgebracht?
Dem Alltag ein Festtagskleid angezogen,
Die Feuer neu angefacht?
Schlaflos skandier' ich die Zeilen wie immer,
Horch' auf ein Knarren im Scharnier
Auf die Hand an der Tür zum Mansardenzimmer -
