Reitorto

Reitorto formed in São Paulo in the late 1980s with Danilo, Denis, Leão, and Mauro. They started playing in local bars, working toward a sound that would eventually connect with a wider audience. In 1993, their single "Apenas Um Sonho" broke through, becoming a significant track in Brazilian rock at the time.

After some lineup changes in the mid-1990s, Danilo and Mauro continued leading the band. They released albums like "Doze Baladas" in 1995 and "Cicatrizes" in 2000, which included songs such as "Cem Vezes" and "Contraponto." Their music often dealt with personal and introspective themes, avoiding the more polished production common in some mainstream rock.

Reitorto kept recording into the 2000s with albums like "Dias de Guerra" and "O Sétimo Dia," maintaining a steady presence without chasing major commercial trends. Tracks like "Em Direção Ao Mar" and "Flores E Espinhos" show their consistent approach to songwriting, built around straightforward arrangements and lyrical directness.
