Rejane Luna came up singing in bars and festivals around Salvador, Bahia, where she grew up. Her first album came out in 2005, named after the song "Corpo Sedento." That track got talked about for its direct lyrics about female desire, and it became one of her most recognized songs.
She kept recording after that, putting out albums like "Beleza Pura" in 2007 and "Samba Sedutor" in 2010. Other songs in her catalog include "Dedicatória," "Devaneio," and "Flor De Açucena." She worked with musicians like Carlinhos Brown, Caetano Veloso, and Gilberto Gil.
Her band featured Marcelo Nunes on bass, Fred Nascimento on keyboards, Anderson Paraíba on drums, and Rick dos Anjos on guitar, with Luna handling vocals. She released another album called "Alma Brasileira" in 2015.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
