The Brazilian Christian music group Renovados em Cristo [REC] formed in São Paulo in 1992. The original lineup included vocalists Anderson Freire and Marcelo Markes, guitarist Juninho Afram, bassist Leonardo Gonçalves, and drummer Juliano Son.
They released albums like "Direção" in 1997, "Em Tua Presença" in 2002, and "Para Sempre" in 2007. Their song "Deus É Amor" became particularly well-known in Christian music circles.
By 2008, Leonardo Gonçalves and Juliano Son had left the group to work on solo projects. Daniel Carvalho and Jairo Bonfim joined on bass and drums around that time.
