Rescue

Rescue came together in the late 1990s from the remains of The Prayer Chain. Their debut album Full Revolution arrived in 1999, anchored by the single '2000 Years Ago,' a slow, atmospheric track that caught some attention in alternative rock circles at the time.

They followed it with The Fragile Art of Existence in 2001 and The Great Leap Forward in 2004. Songs like 'I Will Rise' and 'Darkest Hour' continued in a similar vein of melodic, introspective rock. The band dealt with some lineup changes over those years, which isn't unusual for groups working in that space.

Their catalog is a handful of albums from that turn-of-the-century period when a lot of guitar-based, moody rock was finding an audience. It's straightforward stuff, no grand reinventions, just the work they put out during those few years they were active.
