Reverbo formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2008, playing funk carioca mixed with pop in local bars and festivals. Their song "Mulheres Tão Lindas" came out in 2012 and connected with listeners, especially women, becoming something of an anthem in Brazil.
Led by André Gabeh on vocals, the band includes Rafael Ramalho on bass, Thiago Barbosa on drums, and two members named Felipe on guitar and keyboards. They put out albums like Favela Chic in 2013 and Funk do Bem in 2015, and have worked with artists including Anitta and Ludmilla.
At one point Reverbo faced some criticism about how they portrayed women in their lyrics, which they disputed. Another track, "O Andaluz," appears among their popular songs. They released an album called Identidade in 2019.
