Reyes Peralta formed in 2010 around brothers Rodrigo and Andrés Peralta, who named the band after their maternal grandfather. They started playing in their hometown of Mazatlan, Mexico, working through early financial constraints by performing at local bars and open mics.
Their first album came out in 2013, titled "Lately," which included the song "Lately You've Been On My Mind." That track became something of an anthem for people dealing with lost love. They've since released three more albums: "Corazón y Canciones" in 2015, "Dejame Sonar" in 2017, and "Los Mejores Años" in 2020.
The band's lineup includes Rodrigo Peralta on vocals and guitar, Andrés Peralta on bass, David Osuna on drums, and Luis Morales on saxophone. Their sound mixes traditional Mexican rhythms with contemporary pop, and their lyrics tend to circle around love, loss, and longing. Other songs in their catalog include "All About You," "Dare Yourself," and "Dry My Tears With Your Hands."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
