Rhubens Gamarro was born in Curitiba, Brazil, on July 27, 1960. He started singing and playing guitar at local churches, and in 1979 he joined the band Rhema. His solo career began in 1985 with the release of his self-titled debut album. That album included 'Criador Sem Comparação,' a song that became widely known in Brazilian Christian music.
Gamarro has recorded other songs like 'Promessas' and 'Tarde de domingo.' He has released more than twenty albums over the course of his career. In the early 2000s, he faced accusations of plagiarism, which he denied.
He has worked with musicians including Marco Aurélio on bass, Beto Simas on drums, and Marcelo Brum on keyboards.
