Rhye is the project of vocalist Milosh and multi-instrumentalist Robin Hannibal, who met in Copenhagen. Their debut album 'Woman' came out in 2013, introducing a sound that blends electronic and acoustic elements with Milosh's distinctive, airy vocals. Songs like 'Count To Five' and 'Major Minor Love' from that record established their atmospheric style.
They followed with 'Blood' in 2018 and 'Spirit' in 2021, each continuing their exploration of intimate, textured arrangements. The track 'Patience' features a collaboration with Ólafur Arnalds, bringing classical touches into their work. 'Sweetest Revenge' and 'Summer Days' show their consistent approach to mood and melody.
Milosh has been open about dealing with depression and anxiety, which led to a tour cancellation in 2017. The project resumed performances afterward, maintaining their focus on creating music that feels both personal and spacious.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
