Rhys is a British alternative rock band formed in 2012 by siblings Rhys Griffiths on vocals and Lorna Griffiths on guitar. Their debut album 'Arrival' came out in 2016, followed by 'Serpent' in 2018 and 'Chrysalis' in 2021. The band's sound tends toward atmospheric arrangements with introspective lyrics, heard in songs like 'Too Good To Be True' and 'Better Be Over'.
They've maintained a fairly private presence, with limited press interactions that have sometimes fueled speculation. In 2018, they replaced their bassist and kept touring. Their music deals with themes of relationships and emotional uncertainty, as titles like 'Maybe I Will Learn' and 'Better Break My Heart' suggest.
Rhys has built a following through live performances and three albums of moody, guitar-based rock. The band continues to work with the core sibling duo at its center.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
