Rhythmic was a Japanese pop band that formed in the late 1990s. Their song "Kimi To Futari de" became their most recognizable track when it was released as a single in 1999. The band's debut album, also called Rhythmic, came out that same year.
Their lineup included Ayumi Hamasaki on vocals, Yuya Takaki on guitar, Shinya Tada on bass, and Kazuya Nakano on drums. Takaki left the group in 2002, the same year they released a compilation album titled Reboot. They put out two more studio albums after that, Emotions in 2000 and Reflection in 2004.
At one point, Hamasaki dealt with vocal cord issues that affected her singing. The band also faced some public scrutiny, including rumors about their personal lives and an accusation that the melody for "Kimi To Futari de" had been copied from another group's work.
