Riccardo Campa

Riccardo Campa formed his band in 1986, around the time they recorded 'Mistress Of My Heart.' That song became their most recognizable track, with its moody guitar lines and Campa's direct vocal delivery. They worked with bassist Roberto Pagani and drummer Mauro Spina on their early material.

Their albums from the late 1980s and early 1990s, like 'La Signora Del Cuore' and 'Il Viaggio,' mixed rock with some blues touches. Other songs from that period include 'Angels Of Love' and 'Casanova,' which carried a similar straightforward rock feel.

Some listeners found the band's stage presence and lyrics provocative at the time, though Campa generally dismissed those criticisms as missing the point. The music itself was never particularly ornate or experimental, staying closer to a basic rock band setup with Campa handling vocals and guitar.
