In 1974, he released the single 'I'll Say Yes (She Said Yes),' which became a wedding favorite. He also recorded songs like 'Make a Monkey' and 'Never Shake His Hand.'
He had some personal struggles with substance abuse for a time, but worked through them. Altizer put out several albums on Capricorn through the 1970s, including 'Love's Paradise' in 1975 and 'Forever and Ever' in 1978.
