Rick Altizer came out of Augusta, Georgia, and signed with Capricorn Records in the early 1970s. His debut album was called 'Southern Man.' In 1974, he released the single 'I'll Say Yes (She Said Yes),' which became a wedding favorite. He also recorded songs like 'Make a Monkey' and 'Never Shake His Hand.'
He had some personal struggles with substance abuse for a time, but worked through them. Altizer put out several albums on Capricorn through the 1970s, including 'Love's Paradise' in 1975 and 'Forever and Ever' in 1978.
