I Appreciate You

I remember drawing circles on the sand down by the water

Young and amazing by the crashing waves

I used to sit alone and wonder, why i wasn't like the others

laughing and playing with thier mothers

But now i know she made a sacrifice

So i could have the finest things in life

I'll spend a lifetime just to show you

How i appreciate you, you taught me how to be myself

I'll walk a million miles, and i'll fall a thousand times

But you taught me how to be myself

I remember lying in the dark and feeling sad coz it was so hard

Tears running down my face

And everytime i heard a car go past

I would run up and look through the glass

hoping i'd see your face

But now i know she made a sacrifice
