Rico Serrano

Rico Serrano is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter who leads a band under his own name. He grew up in a musical family and was influenced by artists like Tito Puente and Rubén Blades. In the mid-2000s, he formed the Rico Serrano Band with musicians including Jose Calderon on keyboards, Edwin Rosario on bass, and Carlos Torres on drums.

Their self-titled debut album came out in 2007 and included the song "Amor," which became a hit in multiple countries. Other tracks from that period include "Caminhos," "Deixar Florescer," "Esperança," and "Sonho!?"

Serrano has been known for his outspoken nature and political activism, which has sometimes drawn criticism. The band's music blends traditional Puerto Rican rhythms with contemporary pop influences.
