Ricochet was a British rock band that formed in London in the early 1980s. The original lineup included vocalist Mark Harrison, guitarist Jake Hooker, bassist Paddy O'Hara, and drummer Steve Etheridge. Their sound pulled from hard rock and new wave elements that were circulating in the scene at the time.
Their debut single "Daddy's Money" came out in 1983 and became their biggest hit. The song's lyrics about wealth and rebellion connected with listeners, and its music video got regular play. They followed it with other singles like "Tonight" and "The Kids Don't Like It," which kept their name in circulation through the mid-80s.
Harrison left the band in 1986, and Ricochet went through some lineup changes after that. They put out albums like A Thousand Times in 1985 and Propaganda in 1991, but never quite matched the attention of those first few years. The band reunited briefly in the 2000s but hasn't been active since.
