Archive material and source history
Rim'K, born Abdelkrim Brahmi, grew up in Vitry-sur-Seine, France. As a teenager, he got into hip-hop through American acts like Run-DMC and Public Enemy. In 1994, he co-founded the trio 113 with AP and Mokobé. Their songs "Taratata" and "113 Fout la Merde" became anthems for French youth at the time.
After 113, Rim'K started a solo career in 2004. His first album was called "L'Enfant du Pays." He kept releasing music on his own over the following years. In 2020, he worked with Spanish rapper Morad on the track "Papel," which got a lot of streams.
