Rise To Remain formed in Sheffield in 2005. Their debut album 'City of Vultures' came out in 2009, with the track 'Bridges Will Burn' getting attention for its big chorus. They followed it with 'Not Ashamed' the next year.
Ben Tovey, an original guitarist, left in 2011. Jamie Burrell joined as vocalist around that time. Their third album 'Empires' arrived in 2016, and they put out 'The Serpent's Skin' in 2019. Other songs in their catalog include 'Illusive Existence' and 'Nothing Left'.
In 2015, a video circulated showing Burrell making remarks while intoxicated at a show. The band later described going through a period of rebuilding afterward.
