Riverdogs

Riverdogs formed in the late 1970s with Jake Rivers on vocals and guitar, Mike Waters on bass, and Joe Thompson on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1980 and included 'Revolution Man,' a song that found an audience with its straightforward rock sound and socially aware lyrics.

They followed that with albums like 'The Seeds of Change' and 'Thunder Road,' sticking to a style of rock that felt increasingly out of step as the 1990s brought grunge and alternative to the forefront. The band called it quits in the early 2000s, with Rivers pursuing solo work and Waters and Thompson moving into production and session playing.
