Archive material and source history
Rob Zombie started out fronting the horror-punk band White Zombie in the late 1980s. That group had some success with their album 'Astro-Creep: 2000' and the single 'Thunder Kiss '65.' He went solo in 1998, releasing a self-titled debut that same year.
His 1998 solo album included 'Dragula,' a track that became an immediate hit and has stayed in his live sets. Other songs like 'Living Dead Girl' and 'Superbeast' helped define his sound, which pulls from heavy metal and industrial rock with a horror movie aesthetic.
He's put out several albums since, including 'Hellbilly Deluxe 2' in 2002 and 'The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser' in 2016. Guitarist John 5 has been part of his band for many of those records and tours.
