Roberto Iniesta Ojea, known as Robe, was born in Plasencia, Spain in 1962. He co-founded the rock band Extremoduro in 1985, which developed a raw sound with introspective lyrics. The band's 1996 album 'Pedrá' became a major success, going quadruple platinum.
Robe's songwriting often touches on social injustice, addiction, and mental health, which has sometimes drawn criticism. Songs like 'Contra Todos' and 'Del Tiempo Perdido' reflect his poetic approach to difficult subjects. He left Extremoduro in 2017 and released his first solo album, 'Lo Que Aletea en Nuestras Cabezas,' the following year.
His solo work includes tracks like 'Destrozares' and 'Tercer Movimiento: Un Instante de Luz,' continuing his exploration of personal and social themes. He put out another album, 'Mayéutica,' in 2021.
